4H
Georgia 4-H has been teaching young people since 1904. Stephens County Fifth Grade Academy partners with the 4-H program to enhance local education and provide leadership experiences to students through co-curricular delivery organization.
Learning outcomes:
-experience "real world" ties to formal education
-develop an appreciation of learning through experiential lessons, activities, and curricula
-visualize contributions youth can make to their community, country, and world
-generate competencies in public speaking, leadership, and citizenship
4-H at the Stephens County 5th Grade Academy begins in August and continues through May. All fifth-grade students will participate in 4-H lessons and activities through their science education classes. Mrs. Susan Yearwood is Stephens County's Extension Agent. This position works as an extension of the University of Georgia.
WHAT IS 4H?
4-H is a community of young people across America who are learning leadership, citizenship and life skills. Our goal is to develop leaders for the world of tomorrow.
The University of Georgia Cooperative Extension and Stephens County 4-H are proud to be a part of your child’s education.
